dōTERRA enrollment form errors and how to fix them: wrong country, missing enroller, no kit in the form, e-mail already in use, payment declined

The most common problems in the dōTERRA enrollment form and their fixes: wrong country, empty Enroller field, a link that opens without a kit, e-mail already in use, declined payments, missing verification e-mails.

The dōTERRA enrollment form is not difficult, but it is long, it exists in two or three versions depending on the market, and it has a handful of places where people reliably get stuck. We have walked hundreds of people through it, and the same ten problems come up again and again. This article lists them in order of how often we see them, with the fix for each. If your problem is not here, the step-by-step guide shows every screen of the form for each market, and you can always write to us.

In short: nine out of ten form problems are one of these — the wrong country selected, an empty Enroller field, a link that opens without a kit because of old cookies, an e-mail that is already registered, or a payment waiting for bank confirmation. Each has a two-minute fix.

1. Wrong country or region

This is the most frequent and the most consequential mistake. The country you select in the form decides the market: prices, currency, available kits, VAT, the warehouse the parcel ships from, and the terms you are agreeing to. It must match the address where you receive parcels.

Symptoms: prices in the wrong currency, a kit you expected is missing, the address form asks for a state or province you do not have, or the shipping options make no sense for your location.

The fix: start again from the link for your country. On our home page the country picker opens the form with the right market preselected. In the form itself, check the Region field at the top. In the European form (office.doterra.com) there is a second list below Region where you choose the exact country — Germany, Netherlands, Poland and so on — and that second list is what sets the prices. Choosing “Europe” without the sub-country, or the wrong sub-country, is the usual cause.

If you have already completed an enrollment in the wrong country, do not enroll again: write to dōTERRA support of the correct market or to us, and the account can be sorted out.

2. Enroller and Sponsor fields empty

dōTERRA Lavender 15 mL bottle Our link carries the number 10452588, and in most cases the form fills the Enroller and Sponsor (in some versions Referral) fields automatically. Sometimes it does not — a browser that blocks parameters, a link copied without the ID, a form that reset after a page reload.

The fix: type 10452588 into both fields. After a moment the form should show the name Glukhankov, Alexander Yurievich. If a different name appears, or none, check the number for typos.

Why it matters: the enroller is the person attached to your account who can answer questions and see that you exist in the system. Without one, the form either assigns someone at random or leaves the account unsponsored, and in that case we cannot help you later — we do not see the account and dōTERRA will not discuss it with us. The enroller does not affect your prices or oblige you to anything; the wholesale account article explains this in detail.

You click a link to a specific kit and land on a blank enrollment form, or on a cart containing something you did not choose. The shop has remembered an earlier started enrollment in its cookies and is continuing that session instead of starting the new one.

The fix:

  1. Open the same link in a private or incognito window of your browser. That starts with no cookies.
  2. Or clear cookies for doterra.com in your browser settings and open the link again.
  3. In the US shop, if a window asks what to do with an old cart — Replace, Merge or Keep — choose Replace to start clean.

If the kit is still missing after a clean start, it may be out of stock in your market this month; see which kit to choose for alternatives, or build the order from individual products.

4. “E-mail already in use”

The form refuses your e-mail address because an account with it already exists. Common reasons: you started an enrollment earlier and it got further than you thought, you had a membership years ago, or someone enrolled you once and you forgot.

Do not try to create a second account with another e-mail; dōTERRA allows one account per person, and duplicates get merged or closed later. Instead, go to the login page, click Forgot password, and reset the access with that e-mail. The article dōTERRA login and account access walks through this, including what to do if the membership on the old account has expired (you pay a renewal with your next order and the discount comes back).

If you cannot reset — the old e-mail is gone, or you never had access — dōTERRA support of your market can find the account by name and date of birth.

5. Password, phone, address and other field rules

Field What the form wants Typical error
Password length and character rules shown next to the field; usually letters, a number and a symbol too short, no number
Phone with country code, e.g. +44, +49, +1 local format without the code
Postcode / ZIP the format of the selected country postcode of the wrong country
Address in the European form, Latin letters only Cyrillic, Greek or Hebrew characters
Date of birth you must be an adult wrong order of day and month
VAT / tax ID not required for Wholesale Customers people try to fill it and get stuck
Name as on your card and ID nicknames, missing surname

Two notes. The VAT or tax ID field appears in the European form because business accounts use it; as a customer you leave it empty. And the address must be in the market you selected — the form will not accept a Swiss postcode on a German account.

6. Payment declined

The order is placed, the card is entered, and the shop says the payment failed. In order of likelihood:

  • 3-D Secure confirmation. The bank sent a push notification or SMS and is waiting for you to confirm. Open the banking app, approve the payment, then return to the form. If the window timed out, place the order again.
  • Foreign merchant block. Many banks block payments to merchants abroad by default. dōTERRA charges from the entity of your market, which for Europe is in another EU country; turn on international payments in the banking app and retry.
  • Limit too low. A kit costs a few hundred euros; some cards have daily limits below that. Raise the limit or split the order.
  • Card type not accepted. Visa and Mastercard work everywhere; others vary by market. The payment step lists what is accepted.
  • PayPal. Available in some markets but not all; if you do not see it, it is not offered for your country.

If the money was taken but the order shows as failed, do not pay again. Wait a day — pending authorisations drop off — and check Orders in your account. If the charge stays and there is no order, contact dōTERRA support with the date and amount.

7. The verification e-mail does not arrive

Some versions of the form send a code or a confirmation link to your e-mail before letting you continue. If nothing arrives:

  1. Check the spam or junk folder, and the Promotions tab in Gmail.
  2. Wait ten minutes; the e-mail is sometimes delayed.
  3. Request the code again from the form.
  4. Check that the address in the form is spelled correctly — a typo in the e-mail is the most common cause and means you need to start the form again with the right one.

If you use an e-mail with aggressive filtering (some corporate or university addresses), use a personal address instead; you will need to receive order and dispatch e-mails on it later anyway.

8. Form language and layout

The form can be shown in several languages, and the language switch is at the top of the page. The language does not change the market — a form in English with Germany selected is still a German account. If you cannot find a field we mention, switch to English and compare with the screenshots in the guide, which shows each market’s version: the US and Canada shop form, the European form, and the Global Access flow.

The form also looks different on a phone. If a step seems to be missing, try a laptop; the full form is easier to see.

9. After the enrollment

The last screen shows your new member number and sends a welcome e-mail. Three things to check in the next few minutes:

  1. Log in at doterra.com with the e-mail and password you chose. If it does not let you in, use the steps in the login article.
  2. Check the prices. Open any product; you should see the wholesale price, 25% below retail. If you see retail prices while logged in, the enrollment did not complete — write to support or to us.
  3. Check the Loyalty Orders section. If you did not want a monthly order, it should be empty. The form sometimes offers to “set up your loyalty order now”; if you clicked through it, a template may exist. Delete it before its processing date. The LRP article explains how and when the program is worth joining.

Also save your member number somewhere; it is the fastest way to identify yourself to support.

10. When to stop and ask

If you have gone through a step three times and it still fails, stop. Repeated attempts create half-finished accounts and pending card authorisations that then need cleaning up. Take a screenshot of the error and write to us on Telegram, WhatsApp or by e-mail with your country and the step you are on; we will tell you exactly what to click, and if the problem is on dōTERRA’s side we will tell you what to ask support for. For problems that dōTERRA has to resolve — a duplicate account, a stuck payment, a wrong market — their support of your market is the right address, and the order number or member number is what they will ask for.

Everything else about the form — which kit to pick, what the fee is in your country, how the discount works — is in the guide and the home page, where the country picker opens the right form for your market.

The form is operated by dōTERRA and changes from time to time; field names and steps may differ slightly from what is described here. dōTERRA products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Questions and answers

The form shows the wrong country or prices in the wrong currency. What do I do?

Start again from the link for your country and check the Region field, and in the European form also the second country list. The country must match your shipping address. A wrong country means wrong prices, currency, kits and warehouse.

What do I enter in the Enroller and Sponsor fields?

10452588 in both. The name Glukhankov, Alexander Yurievich should appear. Our link fills it in automatically; if the fields are empty, type the number by hand. Without an enroller we cannot see your account and cannot help later.

The link opens a general form without the kit I chose.

The shop remembers an earlier enrollment attempt in cookies. Open the link in a private or incognito window, or clear cookies for doterra.com, and start again. In the US shop, if asked Replace, Merge or Keep for an old cart, choose Replace.

It says my e-mail is already in use.

An account with that e-mail already exists, perhaps from an earlier attempt or an old membership. Do not enroll again; use Forgot password on the login page to regain access. Our login article explains the steps.

My payment was declined.

Most often the bank is waiting for a 3-D Secure confirmation in its app, the card blocks foreign merchants, or the limit is too low. Confirm in the banking app, unblock international payments, or try another card. PayPal is available only in some markets.

The verification e-mail has not arrived.

Check the spam folder, wait about ten minutes and request the code again. If it still does not come, check that the e-mail address in the form is spelled correctly.

What do I check after the enrollment is complete?

Log in at doterra.com, confirm that products show the wholesale price, and look at the Loyalty Orders section: if you did not want a monthly order, make sure it is empty.
