In the diffuser. Purify is a daytime oil for rooms that need a reset:

Freshening spray. Mix 200 ml of water, a spoon of alcohol or witch hazel and 20 drops of Purify in a glass or PET spray bottle. Shake well and spray into gym bags, onto shoe insoles, around bins and on the inside of curtains (test fabric first).

Laundry. Add three to four drops to a wool dryer ball, or a few drops to the fabric softener compartment for towels and sports clothes.

Around the house. A cotton pad with two drops in the bottom of the bin under the bag, in a shoe cupboard or in the car. Wipe fridge shelves with a cloth dampened with water and one drop of Purify.

Safety

Purify is a household blend, and these rules matter:

• On skin, always dilute: one to two drops per 10 ml of carrier oil for adults, after a 24-hour patch test.
• It contains cold-pressed citrus oils; avoid sun and UV on treated skin for 12 hours.
• For children, diffuse only lightly in a ventilated room and do not apply it to them.
• Pets, especially cats and birds, are sensitive to essential oils; diffuse briefly, ventilate and never apply it to animals.
• In pregnancy or with medical conditions, ask your doctor first.
• Citrus and pine oils can damage some plastics and varnished surfaces; test first. Follow the label of your country.

Is it worth the price?

A 15 ml bottle holds about 250 drops, so at $26 one drop costs about 10 cents. A diffuser session of five drops comes to around 50 cents, and a 200 ml freshening spray to about $2.
